Reserve Multiple Areas or Bounce House Area

I. Create an Account

If you do not have a customer account, please follow these instructions. If you already have an account, proceed to section II: View Availability or III: Make a Reservation. If you need multiple areas or a bounce house area, go to section IV. Reserve Multiple Areas.

Creating a Customer Account

All new customers need to create an account in order to view the facility reservations. Click on Create Account, and complete the form. Please submit your request only once.

Please add RWC Recreation (recreation@redwoodcity.org) to your address book so you can receive permits and confirmations via email.

 II. View Availability (optional)

  • Click the “View Picnic Areas” button to reach Facility Search page. You will see a complete list of all picnic areas.
  • Select a month of a picnic area you are interested in under “Reserved Dates”. Only months which have bookings are shown. If a month is not listed, there are currently no reservations for that month.  
  • The calendar will show times for all current bookings.
  • Choose an available date at a picnic area(s) you like.
  • If you are only interested in a single picnic area, proceed to Section 3: Make a Reservation.
  • If you are interested in multiple areas or a picnic area with a bounce house proceed to Section 4: Make a Reservation – Reserving Multiple Picnic Areas.

III. Make a Reservation

This method of reserving is for a SINGLE picnic area ONLY. You can use our NEW Interactive Maps to reserve a picnic area four your upcoming event.

1. Sign in

  • Click “Sign in” at the top of the screen and enter your login name and password (if you do not have a login name, go back to section 1: Create an Account.
  • Click “Continue”

2. Reservation

  • Click “Reservations”
  • Click “Request a Single Picnic Area

3. Location Maps

  • Select the location of park if you would like to see Google map and other information.
  • Select one of the location aerial maps to display the Interactive map.

4. Select Location Map

  • Fill date, time and number of attendees and click “Check Availability”. This will display those tables that have been booked (blue) and tables that are still available (green) on your selected date.
  • Click on of the available (green) picnic icons to reserve.
  • Enter a description for your picnic (Smith Party)
  • Click “Reserve."

5. Reservation Checklist

  • Click on “Picnic Rules and Regulations” and read. After reviewing the rules and regulations input your initials into the box.

6. Reservation Review

  • Confirm all information is correct.
  • The cost for the picnic area will be listed under the “estimate” column.

7. Payment Information

  • Select the type of Credit Card. (Visa, MasterCard, Discover and American Express only)
  • Enter card information.
  • Check box ensuring you are over 13yrs of age.
  • Click “Continue.”

8. Facility Reservation Request Screen

  • A copy of your reservation request will be displayed. Print a copy for your records.
  • Your request will be approved or denied with 5 days.

IV. Make a Reservation - Reserving Multiple Areas or Bounce House Area

1. Sign In

  • Click “Sign in” at the top of the screen and enter your login name and password (if you do not have a login name, go back to section 1: Create an Account.
  • Click “Continue”

2. Reservations

  • Click “Reservations”
  • Click “Request Multiple Picnic Areas”

3. Facility Reservation

  • In the ‘Event Type’ dropdown box; select “Picnic Reservation” or “Picnic with Bounce House Area” (if you want to reserve picnic area(s) with a bounce house)
  • Enter a description for your picnic (Smith Party) and the maximum number of guests who will be attending. (Make sure the number of guests does not exceed the maximum permitted for the picnic area.)
  • Click “Continue”

 4. Facility Search

  • Select “Picnic Area” as the type of facility. (Box 2)
  • DO NOT make selections in any of the other three list boxes if unsure of your desired location (‘Locations’, ‘Areas’, ‘Specify Amenities’)
  • Click “Continue”

5. Reservation: Select Facility

  • If you know which picnic areas you want, mark the check box beside them.
  • f you want to select from multiple areas, mark the check box beside each area you want to view schedules. You will need to remove the extra areas later.
  • Click “Continue”

 6. Event Dates

  • If you know the date you want to book, enter the date as both the start date and end date. You will skip the next step (#7) (Non-residents may only book 3 months ahead of time)
  • If you want to select from a range of dates, enter the start and end dates of the range. You will need to remove the extra dates later.
  • DO NOT change the ‘General Time of Day’ dropdown list; it should be set to “Use Exact Time.”
  • Enter a start time and duration for your picnic.
  • Click “Continue”

7. Date Pattern - for Range of Dates

  • If you chose a single date rather than a range of dates, skip this step.
  • Select days of the week and the weeks of the month for which you want to view schedules,
  • Click “Continue”

8. Review Reservation Event Dates

  • If you selected a single date, confirm that the date is available.
  • If you selected a range of dates, the calendar will show the dates which are available at any of the areas you chose. Remove each date other than the one you want to book by clicking the date number on the calendar to view the date, and then clicking the “Remove” button.
  • Click “Continue”

9. Reservation Facilities

  • If you selected multiple facilities, remove the check mark beside each area other than the one(s) you want to book.
  • The cost for each area will be listed under the “estimate” column
  • Click “Continue”

10. Reservation Checklist

  • Click on “Picnic Rules and Regulations” and read. After reviewing the rules and regulations input your initials into the box.
  • Click “Continue”

11. Reservation Review

  • Confirm all information is correct.
  • Click “Continue”

12. Payment Information

13. Facility Reservation Request Screen

V. Printing your Picnic Reservation Permit

1. Sign in

  • Click “Sign in” at the top of the screen and enter your login name and password.
  • Click the “My Account” button at the top of the screen.
  • Click “List of Prior Transactions” link.

 2. Account Details

  • Click the transaction for the request you are printing.
  • The request or permit will display on the screen

3. Transaction Details

  • Click the permit number to view the permit or request. (Requests are numbered 900----)
  • The receipt for your payment can also be viewed here.
  • The permit or request will be displayed

 4. Permit / Request

  • The permit or request is displayed.
  • To view its status, look in the upper right corner. If it is approved, click print, if it is a request please wait until it is processed.
