Welcome to the VMB/SC

At the new Veterans Memorial Building/Senior Center, we believe in the strength of our diverse community. Operated by Redwood City Parks, Recreation and Community Services in partnership with the City of Redwood City and local organizations, the Center serves as a trusted resource for older adults, their families, and caregivers.

We offer a wide range of programs, services, and support for Redwood City’s multicultural aging community, from health and wellness classes and social events to expressive arts, recreation, nutrition, and social services. Our goal is simple: create a welcoming place that supports connection, independence, and overall well-being.

We invite you to come see what those 1,753 days of hard work were for—from the first shovel in the ground on July 16, 2021 to the ribbon cutting on May 4, 2026. Nearly five years in the making, this space is finally yours to enjoy.

Special Events

Throughout the year, the Center hosts a variety of social and fundraising events. Local artists and musicians partner with staff to create engaging experiences for the community, full of quality performances and unexpected moments.
