Classes and Ongoing Programs are offered in a warm, friendly and fun atmosphere. Come experience the variety of wonderful quarterly and ongoing programs. Students must register with instructor on the first day of class.

BEG & INT WATERCOLOR PAINTING

Experience the magic of watercolor in a fun and challenging class, designed for beginners and seasoned watercolor students. In this fast paced class, you will learn to transfer a line drawing, and paint with the techniques taught right in front of your eyes. WRITING CLUB

Want to be creative? Writing allows individuals to look into the past and create meaning from it. In addition, it gives the writer, and the reader, new perspectives about life events. Come join the Writing Club to share your own stories. Class acts as a supportive, encouraging environment for self-expression with helpful suggestions. Everyone welcomed.

TAP DANCE

Low Intermediate/Intermediate class. Classes include warm‐up, cross the floor, and dance combinations. Great music, great rhythms, great fun! Students must register with instructor on the 1st day of class. There is no online or mail‐in registration. Please make checks payable to City of Redwood City. ANNUAL FITNESS GYM MEMBERSHIP

Looking for a gym to join? Try VMSC--we have free weights, machines, treadmills, and an elliptical trainer. Multi-tier memberships available that include personal training and group classes. To enroll, you will need to complete paperwork and attend an orientation class. Call (650) 823-1225 for more information.  

MORNING FITNESS (ON-GOING & FREE!)

Start your morning with a free eye-opening exercise class that combines stretching, conditioning, low-impact aerobics and even a little country line dancing! Students must register with instructor on the first day of class.

ARTHRITIS FOUNDATION AQUATIC PROGRAM

with Sandra Burgess, Certified Arthritis Foundation instructor
Come join us in a recreational Arthritis Aquatic program conduct in our heated swimming pool. This program provides a fun, social atmosphere where participants are led through a series of specially designed exercises geared toward reducing pain and stiffness associated with Arthritis. The warm water and gentle movements help increase joint flexibility and range of motion while restoring and maintaining muscular strength. The Arthritis Foundation Aquatic program is suitable for all fitness levels and does not require the ability to swim. Adults of all ages welcome. Call Sandra for more information (650) 380-0882

Pickle Ball, a racquet sport, combining elements of badminton, tennis and table tennis.  Wear appropriate exercise clothing and shoes.  Pickle Ball equipment will be provided.  You may bring your own paddle. No experience necessary!

Yang Style Tai Chi For Health

The aim of Tai Chi is to foster a calm and tranquil mind through the precise execution of exercises.  The practice of Tai Chi ca can in some measure contribute to being able to better stand, walk, move run, etc.  Yang Style Tai Chi is the most commonly practiced style.

RESTORATIVE YOGA WITH GUIDED MEDITATION

Props are used to gently relax the spine into gradual bends to restore comfort from lower back pain, boost the immune system and rejuvenate you physically and mentally. Gentler than the Monday Gentle Yoga class, this class is a wonderful way to strengthen, stretch and relax no matter what your physical condition. Own mat, yoga blanket, blocks and strap recommended. Wear comfortable clothes. Instructor will have props for purchase or to try out. Students must register with instructor, Orlene Chartain, directly at class.
