Melissa Mondragon has been involved in law enforcement for over 10 years. She graduated the Forensic Academy in 2002 and completed internships in Forensics and Crime Analysis with Chino Police Department and Whittier Police Department. She began her career in 2005 with the Pacifica Police Department, where she was assigned to the Investigations unit and performed latent print examinations, latent print processing, Property Room management and crime scene response. Melissa has a Masters of Science in Justice Studies and is currently working on a Masters of Science in Forensics. Melissa has received Certifications in Crime Scene Investigation, Property Room Management and Mobile Forensics. She is a Staff Instructor with the Peninsula Law Enforcement Explorer Academy, a guest lecturer for many high schools and colleges in San Mateo County and volunteers her time in the community of Redwood City through Street Life Ministries and Sequoia Church. Melissa was hired on with the Redwood City Police Department on June 13, 2015.
