Overview

The Wastewater Division annually performs maintenance and cleaning of storm pump stations, catch basins, inlets, concrete-lined channels, three bridge culvert crossings on Cordilleras Creek, and the Bayfront Canal before October 31, the start of the wet season. A strategy of preventive maintenance, periodic inspections, and as-needed cleanings to remove trash, debris, and sediment from structures drives the annual work schedule.
