Water Conservation Workshops
Since 1994, Redwood City Public Works has reached thousands of students through various water conservation outreach programs. Each year we sponsor: an annual water conservation poster contest, EarthCapades Environmental Act, WaterWise kits for schools, and much more.
Water Conservation Poster Contest
Our annual Water Conservation Poster Contest is a fun and dynamic way for kids to express their understanding of water conservation. It is the centerpiece of the School education program, designed to promote water conservation awareness among Redwood City students in kindergarten through 5th grade.
2019 Poster Contest Winners Announced!
The Water Conservation Poster Contest is designed to bring water conservation awareness to the children of Redwood City. Schools throughout the City participated in the contest, with approximately 1,000 submissions. With so many creative posters to choose from, it's difficult for our judges to choose the winners.
The objective of this year's theme, "EXPLORE THE RESERVOIR WITH H2O JOE'S WATER SAVING HEROES," is to teach our students where Redwood City's water comes from, that the supply is limited, and it must be shared among many in the Bay Area. Click here to view the winning posters.
We would like to extend our thanks to the schools, listed below, that participated. Without the support of the principals, teachers, and students, the program would not be possible.
|Clifford School||Henry Ford School
|North Star Academy||Our Lady of Mount Carmel School||Redwood Shores School|
|Roosevelt School||Roy Cloud School||Saint Pius School|
