Water Conservation Workshops

Student Outreach

Since 1994, Redwood City Public Works has reached thousands of students through various water conservation outreach programs. Each year we sponsor: an annual water conservation poster contest, EarthCapades Environmental Act, WaterWise kits for schools, and much more.

Water Conservation Poster Contest

Our annual Water Conservation Poster Contest is a fun and dynamic way for kids to express their understanding of water conservation. It is the centerpiece of the School education program, designed to promote water conservation awareness among Redwood City students in kindergarten through 5th grade.

2024 Poster Contest Winners Announced!

The Water Conservation Poster Contest is designed to bring water conservation awareness to the children of Redwood City. Schools throughout the City participated in the contest. With hundreds of creative posters to choose from, it was difficult for our judges to choose the winners.

This year's theme "My Green Routine" asks students to show us their Green Routine, how they sort waste, and what daily actions they take to make the Earth a better place every day!

We would like to extend our thanks to the schools, listed below, that participated. Without the support of the principals, teachers, and students, the program would not be possible.

Hoover School
Our Lady of Mount Carmel School

Roy Cloud School Saint Pius School Taft School
