Child Care in Redwood City

The City of Redwood City recognizes the importance of high-quality child care and preschool programs to both residents and workers in our community.

Every five years, the San Mateo Office of Education conducts a Needs Assessment to evaluate how much unmet need there is for child care in a community. You can find the results for the whole county here: 2022 San Mateo County Needs Assessment and the Redwood City results here: Redwood City Needs Assessment.
