March 5, 2020:  San Mateo County Health is working closely with the California Department of Public Health (CDPH) and the Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) to respond to the outbreak of novel coronavirus in China and its potential impacts on the Bay Area including San Mateo County. San Mateo County Health Officer Dr. Scott Morrow issued an updated statement on COVID-19, which can be found here.

San Mateo County Health continues to advise that we should all be focused on prevention by covering your cough and sneeze; washing your hands frequently; avoid shaking hands and touching your face with unwashed hands; and if you are not feeling well or are experiencing cold, flu or other symptoms, stay home from school or work.
