Kids Rock! returns with its kid-focused music series, packed with plenty of music, dancing, and non-stop fun. MC Andy-Z, the Master of Music and Play, is your host, bringing an energetic, animated style to each show. This family-friendly event, sponsored by Redwood City’s Public Library and Parks, Recreation, and Community Services Department, creates an enchanting, interactive experience for children and adults alike. Kids will love moving to live music, while parents take in the lively scene at Courthouse Square. With an inflatable playland and more, it’s a great way for families to enjoy music, movement, and connection in a safe, welcoming environment. Come be part of the fun! 

About Emcee "MC" Andy Z

Andy Z has captivated kids and families with his musical adventures for nearly a quarter of a century.  But Andy didn’t set out to be a children’s musician. As an aspiring singer-songwriter, a youthful Andy Zamenes pursued a degree in music at San Francisco State University while playing in various Bay Area bands and performing and releasing music both as a solo artist and with his own band.

His Andyland Band has been featured at events including Austin City Limits Music Festival (TX); Strings Music Festival (CO); Facebook Scare On The Square and Family Day Events; San Ramon Art & Wind Festival; Marine Science Institute’s Earth Day on the Bay; Filoli Estate Family Night; and the long-running Redwood City Events' series - Kids Rock!

With a jam-packed performance schedule and a new album, Andy Z continues to make his mark as a family entertainer with a heartfelt vision and one-of-a-kind musical stories to tell!.

House of Samba Kids is an interactive educational workshop that uses music, rhythm, percussion instruments, and drums as tools for capturing the imagination of the participants. This program is suitable for all ages from children to adults. The creator of this exceptional program is James Henry, who has an extraordinary gift of capturing and holding the attention of his audience and imparting a sense of confidence and joy to all. James Henry, master percussionist, has traveled the world with this program and brings to everyone pieces of cultural wisdom from every area of the globe. Expect to dance, sing, be involved and be transported to many areas of the globe through the sounds of drums and percussion!

Andy Z is a multiple award-winning children's performer, singer/songwriter, and educator who combines music, movement, storytelling, and colorful characters to create an experience that keeps kids engaged and families entertained. Andy's performances have earned him rave reviews and high-profile appearances on the Pandora Video Series, and Pottery Barn Kids Stylehouse website.
